Beginner Trebles - Foundation for dancers beginning to learn hard shoe. 
In class we like to say "Brush, your, teeth" as an easy way to remember 3 beats with our feet.

Fast Heavy Jig

See Saw Step, Treble Treble Step, and Step Hit your Heel Step

Fast Heavy Jig  - The first steps dancers learn in hard shoe.
Steps: 
  • See Saw (Hard Shoe)
  • Treble Treble
  • Step Hit your Heel

Fast Hornpipe

Tip 1, Tip 2, Tip tip Hop Back - 3 jumps, and 2 jumps Steps

Slow Heavy Jig

Jump Treble and a Toe Step and Hop Back, Hop Back 2,3 Step

Fast Hornpipe  -  How to dance Hornpipe trebles, and the first two hornpipe steps.
Steps: 
  • Tip 1, Tip 2, with 3 jumps
  • Tip 1, Tip 2, with 2 jumps
Slow Heavy Jig -  This is for dancers in Novice and Prizewinner and/or those that have mastered their fast heavy jig and hornpipe.
Steps: 
  • Jump Treble and a Toe Step
  • Hop back, hop back 2, 3 step

Slow Hornpipe

Hop treble toe and toe step, and NEW Treble toe bang step

Slow Hornpipe -  This is for dancers in Novice and Prizewinner and/or those that have mastered their slow heavy jig and fast hornpipe.
Steps: 
  • Hop treble toe and toe step
  • Treble and toe and toe step

Traditional Set: St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day -  We encourage all dancers that have their two steps in the fast heavy jig to learn the traditional set, St. Patrick's Day.
This dance consists of a step, danced on both the right and left foot, and the set, danced only on the right foot.
