Bullying & Social Media Policies

Social Media

  • Parents are welcome and encouraged to share Murphy Academy photos, events, and more in a respectable way.

  • When posting on social media, we kindly ask that you be considerate of other parents. Not all parents are comfortable with their children being on social media.

  • When posting videos, please refrain from posting any choreography in its entirety. Championship choreography is not allowed to be posted on social media. At a feis or major championship, it is an organizational rule that video taping is forbidden.

  • Parents/Dancers must post with kindness and grace.

  • If your dancer has a social media account, parents must monitor the account.

  • Parents/Dancers are held at a high standard of etiquette on their social media in relation to Irish dancing.

  • Questions should not be asked on social media. Instead please send questions to bridget@murphyacademy.com or through remind.

Please review

bullying

  • Bullying is defined as:"use superior strength or influence to intimidate (someone), typically to force him or her to do what one wants."

  • Bullying in any form is not tolerated at the Murphy Academy. Parents and dancers are held to the highest standard to respect each other and others inside and outside of class, performances, and competitions.

  • If we see or hear of bullying happening, it will be addressed immediately.
