FAQs
Q: What time should my dancer arrive at Grafton High School on May 30th?
A: An hour before your dancer's scheduled showtime. All dancers must be dressed and ready to go at drop off.
Q: How long is the show?
A: The show will be a little over an hour. Our goal is to keep the performance as close to an hour as possible.
Q: What should we bring with us?
A: We will have a raffle basket to support the Booster Club. Bring cash and try your luck to win the prize! Please tell family and friends attending. Other than that, bring yourselves and your camera to capture this moment of your dancer on stage! Water is the only beverage allowed in the auditorium.
Q: How do I do my dancer's hair?
A: Some classes have specific hair instructions in their costume link. If yours does not, dancers will wear their hair half up, half down curled (as curly as you can - either sponge rollers or a curling iron will do the job) with a red bow.
Q: Can my dancer wear makeup?
A: Dancers are not required to wear any type of makeup unless specified in the costume document. We are leaving makeup at the discrepancy of the parent. If you choose to have your dancer wear makeup, please choose light, natural makeup.
Q: What time will the doors open for guests to the show?
A: Doors will open about 15 minutes before the show begins.
Q: How long will tickets be sold for?
A: Tickets are sold using the link up until the day of the show. All tickets are first come first serve. We recommend purchasing tickets as soon as possible. Once we have sold out of tickets, we cannot fit anymore guests.
Q: Does every family member need a ticket?
A: Yes, all family members that will need a seat will need a ticket. This is to account that we have not oversold the auditorium. If your child can still sit on your lap and does not need a seat, they do not need a ticket.
Q: What is my beginner/mini murph performing on stage?
A: New this year: Each beginner and Mini Murph will perform at the start of Act 2. We ask that once your dancer is checked in they stay with you and watch Act 1. Once it is intermission, you will bring your dancer over to the check in table and check them in again. Each dancer will perform their dancer and then stay backstage. Once act 2 is complete, they will come on stage with all the dancers for the final bow. Once the show is completed dancers can then be checked out where they were checked in. Please note: All parents and family members will need to be in the audience watching from their seats. Only volunteers are allowed backstage.
Q: What happens when my beginner dancer finishes performing?
A: Once your dancer finishes their performance, they will be stay backstage. After the bow, we will have one parent or guardian of each dancer come up where they checked in to check out their dancer.
Q: What happens when the production is over?
A: Once Frozen is finished we will say some final words and bows and then you are free to leave Grafton High. Before leaving, please be sure to take lots of photos with our backdrop! If your dancer is in both shows they will stay backstage and have their packed lunch.
Congratulate your dancer with flowers following their performance! More details will be coming soon!
