We can't wait to watch your dancer shine on stage in our 7th End of the Year Showcase! Please read ALL the information below on ticket, costume, rehearsal, FAQs, Flower Sale, Basket Raffle info below.

Which Show is my dancer performing in?

Did your dancer start dancing with us in
September 2019-May 2020?

They have reached a huge milestone, and have been Irish dancing for 5 years. Please let us know so we can acknowledge them at the end of the show.

FAQs

Q: What time should my dancer arrive at Whitinsville Christian School on June 15th?

A: An hour before your dancer's scheduled showtime. All dancers must be dressed and ready to go at drop off.

Q: How long is the show?

A: The show will be a little over an hour. Our goal is to keep the performance as close to an hour as possible. There will be an intermission between the Wizard of Oz production.

Q: What should we bring with us?

A: We will have raffle baskets to support the Booster Club. Bring cash and try your luck to win a prize or two! Please tell family and friends attending. Other than that, bring yourselves and your camera to capture this moment of your dancer on stage! Water is the only beverage allowed in the auditorium.

 

Q: How do I do my dancer's hair?

A: Dancers will wear their hair half up, half down curled (as curly as you can - either sponge rollers or a curling iron will do the job) with a red bow.

 

Q: Can my dancer wear makeup?

A: Dancers are not required to wear any type of makeup. We are leaving makeup at the discrepancy of the parent. If you choose to have your dancer wear makeup, please choose light, natural makeup. 

 

Q: What time will the doors open for guests to the show?

A: Doors will open about 15 minutes before the show begins.

 

Q: How long will tickets be sold for?

A: Tickets are sold using the link up until the day of the show. All tickets are first come first serve. We recommend purchasing tickets as soon as possible. Once we have sold out of tickets, we cannot fit anymore guests. 

 

Q: Does every family member need a ticket?

A: Yes, all family members that will need a seat will need a ticket. If your child can still sit on your lap and does not need a seat, they do not need a ticket. 

 

Q: What is my dancer beginner performing on stage?

A: Each beginner has a solo following our national solo dancers. Each dancer will come out one at a time and perform a step. We will be on stage with your dancer guiding them if they need assistance on stage. 

 

Q: What happens when my beginner dancer finishes performing?

A: Once your dancer finishes their performance, they will be presented with a medal on stage. After the medal presentation, we will have one parent or guardian of each dancer come up out of their seats and take their dancer back to their family's seats. Each beginner dancer will then sit with their families to enjoy the Wizard of Oz Irish Dancing Drama production. 

 

Q: What happens when the production is over?

A: Once Wizard of Oz is finished we will say some final words and bows and then you are free to leave Whitinsville Christian. Before leaving, please be sure to take lots of photos with our backdrop! If your dancer is in both shows they will stay backstage and have their packed lunch.

Flowers & Basket Raffles

Flower Sale to Support our Dancers:

Congratulate your dancer with flowers following their performance! We have $20 bouquets for sale now and all proceeds go to the Murphy Academy Booster Club.

Any extra bouquets will be sold for $25 at the door - So order today!

All you need to do is email Lindsay Shamoian and your flowers will be held at the show for when you arrive. These will be different flowers than last year.

Please follow these "steps":

  1. Pay for your flowers by Venmoing @Lindsay-Shamoian $20/bouquet

  2. Email Lindsay! Lindsay.shamoian@gmail.com 
    In the email, include:

  • Subject: Murphy Flower Order​

  •  Number of bouquets you are looking to purchase

  • Dancer's name you are ordering for

  • Confirm payment method Venmo or in cash during dress rehearsals or the show

Please know that flowers are first come first serve, so email Lindsay today! We plan to order 100 bouquets - you will not want to miss out!

Basket Raffles to Support our Dancers

We would love your help by donating a raffle basket or prize! We are looking for families to create a raffle basket for this year's show.  We encourage families to donate themed-baskets to our raffle fundraiser. Baskets can feature themes such as Movie Night, Beach Day, Games, etc.

 

Raffle tickets will be sold on the day of the showcase (before the show and during intermission). Feel free to join other families from your dancer's class and donate a basket together! Suggested value for each basket is $30-50.

Please fill out this Raffle Basket form if you plan to donate a raffle basket. NOTE: If you are a family that is already fundraising for the Golf Classic, then please continue to focus on fundraising for that event

​

Remember to let you family and friends know that we will have cash raffle baskets during both shows! Thank you!
